Referring to my earlier post about cultural appropriation and halloween, I came across a BuzzFeed video relating to this idea. In this video, Asian-American BuzzFeed coworkers are given "Asian" halloween costumes and are asked to give their thoughts about them. The cultural insensitivity is astounding, and its interesting to see their reactions and thoughts about what the makers could've done better, if anything. Its a great video that reminds people to "check their motives at the door" and I recommend watching it if you have a few seconds in your day!
